The New Whiteland Fire Department hires on an as needed basis. No prior experience is necessary, however, preference will be given to those individuals who live in the immediate area or hold current, valid, state fire and/or EMS certifications. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by a hiring panel. If the application is complete, an interview will be scheduled. After completing an interview, applicants will need to provide a copy of their limited criminal history from the Indiana State Police and also submit to a pre-employment drug screen prior to recieving a conditional offer of employment.
