New Whiteland Named One of the Safest Cities in Indiana

New Whiteland - 2015 Indiana's Safest City

It’s another great day in the Town of New Whiteland! According to, New Whiteland was rated the third safest city in Indiana in 2015. New Whiteland shares this honor with other top five cities: Winona Lake (#5), Greensburg (#4), Ligonier (#2)  and Zionsville (#1).

The Town of New Whiteland boasts both a low rate of property and violent crime. Additionally, Safewise states that residents, “enjoy a high quality of life, low cost of living, and close proximity to Indianapolis, the state capital.”

2015 wasn’t the only “safest” year for New Whiteland residents; Safewise also named the town the 9th safest city in the state in 2014. Safewise said, “New Whiteland locals can be proud their city not only moved up six positions from last year’s list, but also that the rate of property crime was cut in half.”

A special “Thank you” goes out to the Town of New Whiteland’s dedicated police officers, fire professionals, government officers and residents for keeping the Town of New Whiteland a safe and healthy environment for families and businesses to continue to thrive in.
